We are a couple who are passionate about dogs . . . and in particular Labradoodles. After breeding and training our Labradors for many years, we were fortunate enough to meet Mary Rook of Porlock - one of the founder breeders of Doodles in the South West. We were hooked! Our lives revolve around our hobby of caring for and training our family of dogs but we both have to work too to keep them all. We breed for a purpose and are not a business.
The intelligence of the Poodle and the athleticism of the Labrador produce a dog with bags of personality, good looks and fantastic temperament. However, this is a boisterous breed and calm and Labradoodle do not sit easily in the same sentence!
Our aim is to produce healthy and genetically sound companions. Our priority is health and temperament. We adore the appearance of the F1 Doodle which is, of course, in the eye of the beholder.
The Labradoodle is well suited as a pet, a companion dog for the disabled or a PAT dog (Pets as Therapy), an activity dog to compete in Working Trials, Agility, Flyball, Heel work to Music and Obedience. What more could you want from your pet?

About the Labradoodle Team:
We are passionate about dogs and have been pet owners for 20 years. We have enjoyed various activities and competitions with our dogs but our main interest now is breeding and training. Our Labrador Retrievers are a working strain and are a slighter build than the show strain. They are trained to a Field Trail standard although we no longer compete with them.
In 2000 we began breeding Labradors and to date have bred 7 litters of quality gundogs who were well socialised before leaving the Dam and therefore maximizing the dog’s potential. Our line is bred from health checked stock with low hips scores and current annual eye certificates. More importantly, our Labradors have excellent temperaments. We own three generations of Labrador and grand sire, mother of Labradoodles and one of her progeny may be seen at our home. Our adorable white standard poodle stud was bought in to ensure health and temperament. This is the sound basis for our Labradoodle line – 3 litters of F1 doodles to date.
Our unique web cam facility and updated blog from conception/scan to leaving here at 8 weeks of age along with the relationship we build with our potential puppy owners ensures that all our Labradoodles are loved and trained as if they were ours to keep.
Our bitches work as Pets
as Therapy dogs and visit our local hospital (see link).
Poodle at stud:
KC registered white standard poodle at stud to suitable bitches who must be health screened. Bitches must be of sound temperament.
Superb temperament and excellent pedigree. Hips 4/3. Clear annual eye certificate.
